New Anti-Cholesterol Drug Show Promise

Isis Pharmaceuticals recently released the results of phase 2 testing of an experimental drug to reduce cholesterol. The drug is said to reduce the levels of "bad" cholesterol 62% in patients who received the drug during a 3 month period. Additionally, patients who took the drug in combination with a statin had cholesterol levels 51% lower than those treated with a statin alone over 5 weeks.
